The History of the King James Bible (continued)

1611 to the present there has been no revision of the King James Bible, despite the claims to the contrary.  The dictionary definition of revision requires a change in meaning.  Although there have been updates in printing styles, spelling and grammar, no doctrinal changes have ever been made in the King James Bible: the words remain the same.  The OBH Mini Museum Bible display has printings throughout the 1600's, 1700's and 1800's that all read exactly the same as the original 1611 Bible.

But beware!  Recently some "King James Bibles" have appeared on the market which have actually changed the wording from the 1611 edition!  Men never cease in aiding the great PerVERSIONist, Satan, in his insipid attempts to destroy the Word of God and the God of the Word!

Sound doctrine and holy living come only from a Holy Bible!

Many well-meaning preachers have left their King James Bibles for the peddlers' promise of "easier understanding" and "more accurate translation."  Both are an illusion.  Reading studies have found that the King James Bible has a fifth-grade level of understandability, far below any of the easier-to- understand versions!  And the King James lineage can be traced all the way back to the Christians at Antioch, from whence the early writings of the Apostles were collated, copied and eventually translated into other languages.  What good is it to understand the half truths and whole lies found in the newer versions?

Men who still hold to sound doctrine but switched to newer versions can often be heard saying, "The King James says it better this way ..."  Why?  Because the Holy Spirit has put up that red flag that warns them that what they are reading is not the whole Truth, and nothing but the Truth.  The only Bible for over 350 years where English-speaking people could learn sound doctrine and holy living has been the inspired, infallible, inerrant Word of God - The Authorized King James Bible!
