Revelation & This New Age

Rightly dividing Revelation as we follow Christ's outline in chapter 1:19

Jesus told John to write:       I.  the things thou hast seen (chapter 1)

II.   things that are (chapters 2 & 3 - the church age)

III.   the things that shall be hereafter (Chapters 4 - 22)

We locate the key word, hereafter, being repeated as the last word in Revelation 4:1, designating the division point brtween the things that are and the things that shall be hereafter.  The things in Revelation 4:1 through 22:21 all occur after the church age.

John in 4:1 is a picture of the saints being translated from earth to God's Heaven.

Chater 4 and 5 picture the saints in heaven worshipping the Lamb slain from the foundation of the worled (Romans 13:).

Chapter 6 Give us a summary overview of the of the events on earth during the Tribulation period.

Chapter 7 shows God sealing the 12 tribes of Israel and the great multitude of converts out of every kindred, nation and tongue.

Chapter 12 shows the victory of Michael over Satan, and Satan being confined to earth.

Chapter 13 deals with the rise of the beast out of the sea of people, his requiring every man, woman and child being rquired to wear his ungodly number 666 if they want to live and eat.
